Neal Lucas Peterson Ohlendorf
November 26, 1984 - April 3, 2024

Rodeo, California - Neal passed away unexpectedly April 3 at home with his wife, Erin. He is the son of Harry and Barbara Ohlendorf and grew up in Davis, California.

As a child, he attended Davis Waldorf School, Fairfield Elementary School, Birch Lane Elementary School, Holmes Junior High School, and Davis High School. He graduated in 2003. He attended the University of California, Davis where he majored in Mechanical Engineering.

Following graduation, he accepted a job at Avogadro Group (Montrose Environmental Group) in Antioch where he did environmental monitoring of air quality.

Around this time he met his love, Erin Frier, of Sacramento, and they were married October 13, 2018.

Neal and Erin were devoted animal lovers and took in many rescue dogs, giving them a loving home until they could find their forever homes.

Neal is survived by his wife Erin, his parents Harry and Barbara Ohlendorf, his brothers Max (Renee Choy Ohlendorf) and Alex (Britney Haapanen), and by Jeri Willoh (Glenn Kenney), James Frier (Sue), Peter Frier (Wendy), and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Texas, Wisconsin, and California.

A Memorial Service for Neal will take place on Friday, April 19 at 4pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis, 27074 Patwin Rd. in Davis.
